Starting from the begining of space era, Venus was the first planet who capture atention for exploring. Venus is the closest planet to Earth and the second from the Sun named after the Roman goddess Venus. The former Soviet Union had the largest efforts to explore this planet from 1961 to 1985. Also the american Magellan spacecraft made surface maps using radar system and ESA european Venus Express explore the planet atmosphere in 2006. Russia planing to continue exploring Morning Star with future launches of new technological probes - Venera D. Since then in 2010, JAXA will send a new mission to Venus, a venusian satellite for research the planet atmosphere named ,,AKATSUKI" meaning Dawn - Venus Climate Orbiter (Planet-C).
UNITEC-1 is the first deep space satellite made by university and it rides together the satellite of JAXA, named Planet-C direct to Venus. It will carry an amateur radio telemetry beacon on 5840 Mhz and after launch on 20 may 2010 with a H-IIA rocket it follow the AKATSUKI to Venus.
